A few days before your move

Confirm the pickup and drop-off addresses, arrival time, parking, and building rules. Reserve the elevator if your building requires it. Tell us about stairs, long hallways, or a loading area so we can plan for the access at both ends.

Finish packing the small things

Unless packing service is part of your booking, have loose items boxed before the crew arrives. Use manageable boxes, keep heavy items in smaller boxes, and close them securely. Label each box with its destination room and mark fragile items clearly.

Prepare your furniture

Empty drawers when practical and remove loose items from shelves. Keep hardware together in a labeled bag. Tell us in advance about beds or furniture that need disassembly and reassembly. Leave the heavy lifting to the crew.

Keep essentials with you

Set aside your keys, wallet, medicines, chargers, important documents, and anything you’ll need that night. Carry valuables personally. Keep this essentials bag separate from the items being loaded.

Make the route easy to use

Clear hallways and doorways, secure pets, and arrange a safe place for children away from the moving path. Let us know where we can park. If a building requires a certificate of insurance, ask ahead so the paperwork can be arranged.

Check appliances and special items

If an appliance is part of the move, arrange any necessary disconnection before arrival and confirm the handling plan with us. Send photos and details for unusually heavy, delicate, or bulky items before booking.

At your new place

Decide where the main furniture should go before unloading begins. A quick room plan saves repeat lifting. At the end, walk through both the vehicle and the rooms with your crew, check your items, and ask any questions before we finish.
