Start with the project, not just the distance

A studio move across San Jose can take longer than a furniture delivery across town. The number of items, stairs, elevator access, parking, and how ready everything is all affect the time your crew needs. A short drive is only one part of the job.

Understand the hourly minimum

For many standard small moving projects, EasyWay’s rate is $150 per hour for two movers, with a two-hour minimum. At that rate, two hours of crew time is $300. That is an example of the hourly portion, not a fixed quote for every project. Sunday, holiday, larger-crew, and special-project rates can differ.

Ask what is included in your quote

Before booking, get the crew size, hourly rate, minimum, and any transportation or truck fee in writing. Packing materials, a larger rental truck, unusual heavy items, or a different service area can change the total. EasyWay confirms the details for your project so you know what to expect.

The details that help us estimate accurately

Share a list of the main items and photos, both addresses, the floor at each location, stairs or elevators, and how close we can park. Let us know about furniture that needs disassembly and whether your boxes will be packed before arrival.

A van or a bigger truck?

Many furniture deliveries and smaller loads can fit a van. A full apartment or a bulky load may need a bigger vehicle. Photos help us plan the vehicle and crew before moving day. We’ll confirm what fits your project instead of asking you to guess.

Give yourself a realistic plan

An estimate is more useful when it reflects the actual items and building access. If your inventory changes, tell us before the job so we can revisit the plan. A clear scope helps avoid extra trips and last-minute surprises.
